FAMILY PLUS Preschool - September 28

Hi Parents and Grandparents,

This Saturday I have the opportunity to go serve on a mission trip with our High School Students in New Orleans. I will be working in one of six schools playing character building games with children. We will also have several teams serving in homes that was effected from the recent storm. I know one of the homeowners personally. Her name is Coach Patti. I spoke with her last week and told her that we had a team coming to help. Patti cried our entire conversation. She lost her home in Katrina and again with Isaac. She is very emotional and very grateful that we are coming to help. Her brother lives next door to her and he lost his house as well. Please pray for Coach Patti, her family and the mission team that will be traveling to Louisiana on Saturday, September 29th. We will be going and spreading good news to what seems like a broken city, New Orleans.

FAMILY PLUS Preschool - September 22

Hi Parents and Grandparents,

Last week our parent challenge was to make cookies and shape them into the letter J for Jesus. Sunday, a preschooler ran up to me with a smile on his face and a bag of cookies. Cookies shaped like the letter J. He was very excited to tell me about him and his grandmother making them. They were both very happy to share them with me. What a beautiful memory of the two of them have now with making cookies and talking about Jesus. I saw him Wednesday night, he was still talking about making me those cookies. I want to challenge you to do these parent challenges. I know it can be difficult at times with our lives being so busy. You will not be disappointed that you took the time to do so. Memories last a life time. It is the little things that they will remember the most.
